Delores Mae Ryser

February 8, 1927 ~ December 29, 2016 (age 89) 89 Years Old


Delores Mae Ryser, age 89, of Ripon, formerly of Neshkoro, passed away at Maplecrest Manor in Ripon and went to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 29, 2016.  She was born on February 8, 1927, in Germania, Shawano County, to Caroline Rosenthal and Harry Kroening and her adoptive father, Albert Foth, who she always considered to be her father.  Delores had been married to Vincent McSorley of Green Bay and later to Werner Ryser of Eau Claire.  She was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church for many years, the LWML and the Lioness Club all of Neshkoro, and a past member of the VFW Auxiliary of Monroe, WI.  Delores was a volunteer for Hospice for 5 years and enjoyed doing projects within her church.  She also volunteered at the Second Time Around Store in Berlin.  Delores loved spending time with her family and friends, going camping and campfires.  She had a passion for her flower gardens and watching them bloom throughout the summer.   She also enjoyed making quilts, knitting and crocheting. 

Delores is survived by her two sons, Steven (Ann) McSorley of Ripon, Terence McSorley of Neshkoro; 4 grandchildren, David (Kim) McSorley, Nicole (Kasey) Chase, Adam McSorley, Brandon McSorley; 4 great grandchildren, Madeline and Emily McSorley; Kyle and Ellie Chase; sister, Jeanette Nemetz of Bowler; brother, James Foth of Adams; sisters-in-law, Adeline Foth of Antigo, Donna (Bill) Peterson of Las Vegas; former daughter-in-law, Cheryl Rodefer of Milwaukee; special long time friend, Vicky; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She also leaves behind her cat, "Smokey," which gave her many hours of companionship and happiness at her residence by her side.  Delores was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Vincent McSorley and Werner Ryser; son, Michael McSorley; sister-in-law, Rita Foth. 

A memorial service for Delores Ryser will take place on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, 227 N.
