Elnora Viola Fleegal

Elnora Fleegal, age 97, of Princeton, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016, at Martha’s in Princeton.  She was born on November 9, 1919, in Montello, a daughter of Otto and Dena (Holtz) Bornick.   On August 17, 1940, she married Harry Fleegal at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Montello.   Elnora was a wonderful homemaker who loved to bake and cook for her family.   Once the children were grown, Elnora went to work for the Green Lake Conference Center as a housekeeper and had also worked for the Del Monte Canning Factory in Markesan.  She enjoyed going dancing with her husband, Harry and had a love for birds, especially cardinals.

Elnora is survived by her 4 children, Clifford (Lois) Fleegal of Green Lake, Raymond (Karen ) Fleegal of Rio, Carol (Howard ) Zabel of Redgranite, Ruth (Robert) Milne of Montello; 10 grandchildren, Yvonne, Roy; Angela, Deborah; Jeff, Doug, Jennifer; Renee; Duane, Susan; 17 great grandchildren, Jennifer, Julie, Sarah, Alexa, Eva; Kooper, Konner; Aerin, Delaney, Tanner, Alden, Presley, Tillie, Jacob, Emilee; Mariah, Cole; 2 sisters, Della Stelter of Princeton, Lorraine Marotz of Westfield; son-in-law, Kenneth Wegner of Berlin; many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Dena Bornick; husband, Harry Fleegal; son, Kenneth, in infancy; daughter, Jean Wegner; grandson, Ronald, in infancy; great granddaughter, Elysabeth; son-in-law, Alden Putzke; 2 brothers, Elmer and Robert. 

A funeral service for Elnora Fleegal will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m., at Emmanuel Lutheran Church (Big Mecan) W1568 Evergreen Ave. of Montello.
