Sorry this is late - recently received the obituary. Frank and I were second cousins. My grandmother, Sophie, and Marie were sisters. I loved his sense of humor and thought he was such a handsome man. He was just as handsome on the outside. He was able to assist me with my genealogy research. DNA has shown that we are Jewish - I am 26% Jewish. Wish I had gotten to tell him that! I recall walking into their house a couple years ago and telling him that he was an "illegitimate" child. His reaction was priceless! I then explained that Aunt Marie and Uncle Par's marriage had never been recorded at the Court House. I have the original. If someone to whom it would be more precious would like it, please let me know, and I will get it to you, I miss him! An Avalanche of Blessings to all!

Thanks for the memories of your cousin, our dad. He did have a great sense of humor and I always thought he was handsome. To me he looked a little like Andy Griffith the actor.
I remember you coming to the house with genealogy questions. I would have loved to see that reaction. I am the one in the family that works on our genealogy, so I would love to have that document and if possible a copy of our Jewish DNA results. I can't imagine how he would have reacted to that result. This is on Aunt Sophie's side of the family? I loved your grandparents. Always enjoyed going to their house.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember him from when we were growing up. as an adult I know now that most of the parents back then helped to form who I am today because they cared about all the kids in the neighborhood and even our small town, giving us "what for" if we weren't very nice and praise if we were good.. I wish my grandchildren could have that in their life, its unfortunate the younger generations and society in general, no longer "subscribe" to "it takes a village", most turning a blind eye to only their own. Because I believe because of our "village" I turned out pretty good..........my prayers are with the whole family. may the good Lord keep and hold you through this terrible time. God bless.

Thank you, Tracie, for your heartfelt memories of our neighborhood and town as children , and condolences to our family. Yes, life was different then and the neighborhood parents looked out for all of us. We couldn't get away with anything. LOL
