Virginia (Ginny) Lee LaFleur, age 73, of Green Lake, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 5, 2017.  Ginny was born on September 10, 1943, the oldest daughter of Gilbert H. and Marjorie (Mattke) Dreger.  She spent her early years in Princeton, where she graduated from Princeton High School in 1961.   After graduation, Ginny moved to Appleton, WI, where she worked as a secretary for the AAL Company.  Ginny went on to marry and have two children, moving back to Princeton to raise her family.  She was known throughout the area for her seamstress skills, and ran a successful sewing business from her home.  Always an excellent cook, Ginny took her culinary skills to restaurants in the area, such as Carver's and Alfred's in Green Lake.  She went on to manage the Lawsonia Golf Course Restaurant for many years.  She will always be remembered for her wonderful pies and baked goods during her years at Caron Orchard.

Ginny loved the outdoors, and could often be found biking, fishing, picking asparagus, gardening, chopping wood, or mowing the lawn during the summer months.  Her love of unique pottery, glassware, and china led her to an immense collection displayed in the cabinets throughout her home.  Her innate nature of compassion and caring was well known in her neighborhood.

Virginia is survived by her husband of 41 years, William J. LaFleur of Green Lake; her children, Jim (Caryn) Esten of Cedarburg, Tonia Fritz of Ripon, Jeff Sykes, the foster son she raised; 10 grandchildren, Ashley Fritz, Tonisha Thacker; Joseph, Nathaniel, Theodore, Selena, Sawyer, Jasper, Genevieve, and Maryanna Esten; 1 great grandchild, Eliana Kieck; 3 siblings, Judy Street of Green Lake, Bruce Dreger of Princeton, Ellen Chelstrom of Green Lake; brother-in-law, Jerry (Darlene) Baskett of Green Lake; very special aunt, Mary Jean Dreger of Ripon; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.  Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Marjorie Dreger; brothers-in-law, Chuck Chelstrom and David Street; sister-in-law, Dorothy LaFleur; her beloved pets, her dog, Ivy; 3 cats, Maude, Max, and Nugget, who were very dear to her.

Virginia's family would like to extend a special thank you to her niece, Alexis Dreger, for reading bible verses to her in her final hours.  Per Virginia's wishes, there will be no services.  Memorials in Virginia's memory may be given to the Green Lake Area Animal Shelter, 8500 Busse Road Green Lake, WI 54941.  Please visit our website www.wachholzandsons.com to send condolences to the family.
