Donald Claude Korff, age 80, of Markesan, WI, passed away at his home on April 22, 2024. He was born on August 31, 1943, in Chicago, IL, the son of Claude and Marie “Mamie” (Kolinger) Korff.
Don was a graduate of Valparaiso University in Indiana. On June 1, 1986, he married Diana Simmons in Schaumburg, IL. Don was employed at the Allstate Insurance Company in Rolling Meadows, IL, for over 25 years as a building supervisor. While they were able, Don and Diana loved to travel and see the world. He enjoyed fishing, outdoor recreation, playing basketball and other sports with his friends, and loved to spend time with his 8 grandchildren. Don was very active and supportive of his church, especially coordinating the ushers. He had a giving and happy heart.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his sons, Donald Claude (Jessica) Korff II of Vicksburg, MI, David Ryan (Kimberly) Korff of Grand Rapids, MI; mother of Donald and David Korff, Jorja (Bohn) Melville of Allegan, MI; 8 grandchildren, Madison (David) Nelson, Mackenzie Korff, Thomas Korff, Amarissa Korff; Megan Korff, Ryan (Ashley) Korff, Aidan Korff, Alex Korff; 2 great grandchildren, Piper Sage Korff, River Rose Korff; 2 sisters, Claudia (Herb) Kieffer of Springfield, IL., Judy Rickard of Rapid City, SD; sister-in-law, Nancy Hayden of Park Ridge, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Mamie Korff; wife, Diana Korff.
A funeral service for Donald Claude Korff will take place on Saturday, April 27, at 1:00 p.m., at the Terrace Shores Evangelical Free Church, W3278 Highway K, Markesan, with Rev. Gary Zacharias officiating. There will be visitation at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at the Markesan Memorial Cemetery following the service.
