However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. Full Service Traditional Funeral

“Services of director and staff, transfer of deceased to funeral home within 25 miles, embalming, other preparations of the body, use of facilities for viewing (1 day) and funeral ceremony or services in facility or other facility (2nd day), acknowledgment cards and register book.” This package price is offered, as is, without deletions or substitutions. You may, however, choose select same services from our itemized price list. No funeral merchandise is included in this package. It does not include accommodation services provided by others. Some examples are obituary notices, flowers, grave openings, honorariums, and luncheon expenses.

Basic Professional Services Of Funeral Director And Staff

Our fee for basic services for 24-hour availability of funeral director, but not limited to, staff to respond to the initial request for service; arrangements with the family for disposition; preparation and filing of necessary authorizations and permits; recording vital statistics; preparation and placement of obituary notice; coordinating with those providing other portions of the disposition. Some examples include cemetery, crematory, vault companies and others as required.

Also included in this fee are the overhead expenses relative to our facility such as professional licensing, legal and accounting fees, insurance, building and utility costs, maintenance, taxes, equipment, furnishings, inventory costs, record keeping, secretarial and administrative expenses.

This fee for basic services and facility overhead will be added to the total cost of the service arrangement you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct burial, cremation, forwarding and receiving the deceased.)

Receiving Deceased From Another Funeral Home

This charge includes local pick up and transportation of deceased to local cemetery, necessary authorizations, care of the deceased, and basic services of staff. This charge does not include any merchandise, use of facilities and staff for any visitation or ceremony, public or private, prior to burial.

Forwarding Deceased To Another Funeral Home

This charge includes the local removal of deceased, basic services of staff, embalming or use of refrigeration, and necessary authorizations. This charge does not include any visitation rites or ceremonies, merchandise, shipping containers, transportation to area airport, or shipping charges.

Immediate Burial

This charge includes local removal of deceased, local transportation to the cemetery, necessary authorizations, care of the deceased and basic services of the staff. This charge does not include use of facilities and staff for any visitation or ceremony public or private prior to burial.

Direct Cremation Package

Our charge for a direct cremation includes; local removal of deceased, local transportation to crematory, necessary authorizations, full care of the deceased for identification, basic services of staff and facilities, basic refrigeration, county coroner and crematory fees. No additional services may be added to these packages. This charge does not include facility charges for visitation or funeral service public or private prior to the cremation.

If you want to arrange a direct cremation you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composite materials, with or without outside coverings. The containers we provide are unfinished wood boxes, corrugated cardboard of fiberboard boxes.

Social Services

The Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home will verify with social services in the county in which the deceased last resided. All services will be held at the funeral home with a same day service, maximum 2 hour visitation, and no cash advances will be paid by the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home.
