Allen “Kurt” Bostad, age 66, of Princeton, was born into eternal life on Monday, September 24, 2018, with his wife and three daughters by his side. Kurt was born on August 13, 1952, in Stevens Point, WI, the son of Allen B. and Jeanne (Bukolt) Bostad. He attended Nicolet High School in Milwaukee, then continued his education at UW La Crosse, where he graduated in 1973. Kurt met the love of his life, “his girl”, Robin, a few years later, in Shorewood, WI. The couple moved to Monterey, CA, where Kurt worked at Pebble Beach Golf Course, and they were later married on June 13, 1981, at Monterey Beach. Kurt and Robin were then blessed with three beautiful girls, Mary, Kari and Kristin. The family relocated to Wisconsin in 1990, where they called Princeton their home.
Kurt worked for Flash Trucking out of Green Lake, WI, where he enjoyed truck driving for over a decade. Kurt was most happy when he was surrounded by family and friends, duck and deer hunting, watching the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers, listening to his music and playing his harmonica.
Kurt is survived by his wife, Robin Bostad (Simonson); his daughters, Mary Gagne (Tyler), Kari Reilly (Joe), Kristin Bostad (Tyler Moderow) and chosen daughter Stacy Strean (Seth); his five grandchildren, Hayden, Ethan, Shelby, Taylor and Carter; sisters, Robin Eztweiler (John), Heather Petershack (Mark); his mother, Jeanne Bostad; along with close relatives, many special friends and his beloved dogs, Max and Roxy. Kurt was preceded in death by his father, Allen B. Bostad; his grandparents; three uncles, Robert, Romey and Denny; and his aunt Val.
