Catherine Breith

Catherine Breith, age 95, of Princeton, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Martha's Inc. in Princeton.  She was born on May 24, 1922, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Robert and Gertrude (Taylor) Perry.  Catherine grew up in Aurora, Illinois.  She had been a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Aurora.  Catherine attended St. Nicholas Grade School and Madonna High School.  After graduating from high school, Catherine worked as a file clerk for the Highway Insurance Company in Chicago, Illinois.  She married Albert David Breith on September 26, 1956, at St. Clara's Catholic Church in Chicago, IL.  After her husband's passing, Catherine went back to school to become an LPN and then continued on to become a Registered Nurse. 

Catherine was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton.  She enjoyed watching her favorite television shows, reading books and magazines and writing in her journal.

She is survived by her 2 children, Lisette (George) Bates of Merrillville, IN, Michael Breith of South Elgin, IL; 4 grandchildren, Maurice (Aida) Culpepper, Domonique (Antoine) Joiner; Kyle and Haley; great granddaughter, Mikayla; other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Gertrude Perry; husband, Albert Breith; brother, Ike Taylor. 

A Funeral Mass for Catherine Breith will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W.
