Dewitt Richard Schedler

Dewitt “Dewey” Schedler, age 71, of  Princeton, WI, passed away at his home on Monday, November 19, 2018. Dewey was born in Sparta, WI, on September 12, 1947, to Esther Vernita Schedler.  He was married to Barbara (Hathcock) Schedler, the mother of his children, raised his family in Sparta and was a great father and grandfather.  He worked at Sparta Manufacturing for nearly 30 years and was an avid union member.  Dewey spent his nights and weekends working hard for his family, painting cars in the garage and cutting wood.  Although he did not talk politics often, he loved to exercise his right to vote.  He loved camping trips, the Minnesota Vikings and never gave up on the super bowl dream, even when they choked at times.  

Dewey met his current loving wife, Patti (Kiefer) Schedler in 2004 and they were married on October 6, 2006.  Together they formed a blended family. Later in life, he enjoyed flea marketing and working for Kwik Trip in Ripon.  Patti was there for him year after year until his death.

Dewey is survived by his wife, Patti Schedler of Princeton; 4 sons, Michael Schedler of  New Bern, NC, Thomas Schedler of Sparta, David Floeter of Ripon, Bobbie Kiefer of Oshkosh; daughters, Sandra McAnany of Coon Rapids, MN, Rebecca Kiefer of Ripon; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren;  his first wife, Barbara Schedler of Sparta.  Dewey was preceded in death by his sons, Paul Schedler, Ronnie Kiefer; son-in-law, Brian McAnany; mother and stepfather, Esther and Alonzo Williams.
