Evelyn Marie Fischer

Evelyn Marie Fischer, age 89, of Mount Calvary, formerly of Neshkoro, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at the Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mount Calvary where she had resided for the past 8 years.  She was born on October 31, 1929, in Fond du Lac, WI, a daughter of Robert and Mabel (Bebow) Williams.  In 1948, Evelyn graduated from Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac.  She was united in marriage to Robert Fischer on July 8, 1950, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. 

Over the years, Evelyn had worked for Wenzlaff Music Store, Everix Bakery and O'Brien's Dry Goods Store all of Fond du Lac.   After moving to Neshkoro, she was employed at the Neshkoro Post Office.  Evelyn had enjoyed traveling with her husband and going to the casino.  She was a member of the Neshkoro Lioness and Lions Club and the Joseph Kresic Jr. Post 10892 of Neshkoro.  Evelyn was a Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewers fan.  She loved being a mom and grandmother and was happiest living at her home at Lake Emma enjoying the wildlife.

Evelyn is survived by her 4 daughters, Karen Fischer of Fond du Lac,  Mary (Bill) Brooks of Kailua, HI, Susan Fischer of Fond du Lac, Nancy (Joel) Narges of Eden, WI; 10 grandchildren, Andrea (Tom) Petrich, Jennifer Flatley; Laura (Jamie) Wilson, Kristin Brooks; Kevin, Zach, Katie Maga; Jill (Jordan) Ehlen, Amy (Alec) Kumrow, Brian Narges; 7 great grandchildren, Liam, Brody, Charlie, Emma, Aubrey, Elliana and Maggie; special family friend, Ronnie Daye; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mabel Williams; husband, Robert Fischer on May 1, 2002; 3 sisters, Shirley Leonard, Joan Beyer, Barbara Ott. 

A Memorial Mass for Evelyn Marie Fischer will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018, at 1:30 p.m., with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m., at St. James Catholic Church, 315 N. Main St., in Neshkoro.  Father Dale Grubba will officiate.  Burial will follow the Mass in St. James Catholic Cemetery.  A memorial has been established to Cristo Rey Ranch Inc, N8102 County Road WW, Mount Calvary, WI 53057.  Please visit our website www.wachholzandson.com to send a condolence or to share a memory of Evelyn with her family.
