Mary Ann Sondalle, age 83, of Berlin, formerly of Princeton, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Patriot Place in Berlin. She was born on December 26, 1935, in Oshkosh, WI, a daughter of Gilbert and Mary Elizabeth (Hollaus) Belfeuil. Mary Ann was united in marriage to James D. Sondalle on September 25, 1954, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton. Mary Ann was co/owner of the Sondalle Insurance Agency and had also worked for the Neshkoro Mutual Insurance Company in Neshkoro.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Princeton and its Rosary Society, Princeton Women’s Club and Princeton Senior Citizens Club. Mary Ann and her husband Jim, wintered in Citrus Springs, Florida, for over thirty years where she was also a member of the Neighborhood Crime Watch. Mary Ann loved being with her family. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, jewelry making and cooking.
Those Mary Ann leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband of 65 years, James D. Sondalle; 6 children, Debra (Andy) Black, Randall (Connie) Sondalle, Daniel (Lisa) Sondalle, Sandra (Tim) Weinberger, Gregory (Cathy) Sondalle, Steven (Julie) Sondalle; 13 grandchildren, James (Shelley) Borst, Christina (Mitch) Geer, Lindsay Borst, Josh Sondalle, Alexandria Weinberger, Alyssa (Rick) Walsh, Justin Sondalle, Tyler (Andi) Weinberger, Skye (Will) Kuen, Megan Sondalle, Cody Sondalle, Ryan Sondalle, Erin Ballard; 6 great grandchildren, Austin Borst, Mikayla and Lauren Geer, Anna Borst, Aubrey and Cooper Walsh; brother, David (Marny) Belfeuil; 2 sisters, Rose (Jim) Meinert, Susan Belfeuil; sister-in-law, Doris Belfeuil; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Mary Elizabeth Belfeuil; infant son, Joseph John Sondalle; brother, Bill Belfeuil.
A visitation for the family and friends of Mary Ann Sondalle will take place on Thursday, December 19, 2019, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m., at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 Harvard St., in Princeton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 20, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., in Princeton. Father Dale Grubba will officiate. Mary Ann will be laid to rest following the Mass in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Ascension St. Elizabeth Hospital Foundation of Appleton and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Princeton.
