Nathan Disterhaft Obituary

It’s with great sadness that the family of Nathan Allen Disterhaft of Ripon, announces his unexpected passing while at work at Alliance Laundry Systems on July 3, 2019, at the age of 42. Nathan was born in Oshkosh on May 28, 1977, the son of Ken and Mary (Vining) Disterhaft of Princeton.  He nourished people around him with his compassion, positive outlook, humor, and faith.  He will forever be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit, his love of music, disc golfing, camping, and bringing friends and family together to share quality time.

He was a 1995 graduate of Princeton High School and went on to earn his degree in electrical power distribution from Moraine Park Technical College in 1996.  He became self-employed as the owner of Led Head Ink after working at Ripon Printers for many years.  Nathan later worked at Hopper’s Screen Printing and All-Star Trophy where the Hopper’s were a second family to him.

Nathan is survived by his parents, Ken and Mary Disterhaft; brother, Cody (Cass Loberg) Disterhaft; the love of his life, Lisa Ellis; grandmother, Eleanor Disterhaft;  great aunt, Violet Bednarek; aunt and uncle, Trish and Glenn Troost; godmother and aunt, JaneMarie Vining; uncles, Pete Vining and Jerry Disterhaft; aunts, Peggy Murray, Cindy Gozinski, and Ona Williams; and many other relatives.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Tony Disterhaft; maternal grandparents, Verle and Alice Vining; uncles, Jim and Terry Vining.

Nathan leaves behind many friends who are near and dear to him especially his roommate Roger Vergin, his disc golf buddies, long-time friends from high school and the many co-workers from Alliance Laundry Systems.  He will be missed by his dogs, Odie and Zeke who he cherished.
