Rose Marie Skolarz, age 85, of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at the Markesan Resident Home. She was born on April 7, 1934, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Paul and Rose (Lipski) Jaske. Rose Marie married Carl Jacob Skolarz on June 27, 1959, at St. Cyprian Catholic Church in River Grove, IL. They were blessed with 43 years of marriage before Carl’s passing in 2002. Rose Marie worked as a dietary aide at the Sunnyview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Princeton for almost 20 years.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, doing crossword puzzles, and in earlier days, going on casino trips with her husband, Carl.
Those Rose Marie leaves behind to cherish her memory include her 3 children, Gary (Kristen) Skolarz of Oxford, WI, Sandra (Chuck) Bodam of Princeton, WI, Randy Skolarz of Princeton, WI; 4 grandchildren, Chelsea Skolarz, Leah (fiancé, Steven Bakken) Skolarz, David Hall, Matthew Wallace; brother, Harry (Janet) Jaske of Palatine, IL; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Rose Jaske; husband, Carl Jacob Skolarz; infant son, Mark Skolarz; brother, Ron Jaske.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Rose Marie Skolarz will be held on Monday, December 23, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., in Princeton. Father Dale Grubba will officiate. Rose Marie will be laid to rest following the service in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Princeton.
