William A. Kieck

William A. Kieck, age 79, of Princeton, passed away at his home on Friday, May 19, 2017.  He was born on August 30, 1937, in Montello, a son of Alfred and Adeline (Klawitter) Kieck.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis on the USS Requin.  On August 18, 1962, Bill married Sharon Lee King in Berlin.  For many years, he worked at Speed Queen in the maintenance department.  Bill was a member of the Princeton VFW Post 10452.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching football.  He also enjoyed gardening, especially caring for his roses.   

Bill is survived by his fiancée, Betty Keipe of Green Lake; daughter, Tracie Lee Thresher of Montello; son, William James Kieck of Green Lake; 6 grandchildren, Steven (Dylan) Gross, Jaimie (Jarred) Beranich; Kyle Kieck, Amber (fiancé, Jackson Schickert) Kieck; Thomas Thresher, Timothy Thresher; 6 great grandchildren, Teagan Gross, Quinlyn Gross; Vivishion Beranich; Eliana Kieck, Serenity Kieck; Carson Huenerberg; former son-in-law, Michael Thresher of Green Lake; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Kieck; mother and step father, Adeline Kieck Cotter and Stewart Cotter; wife, Sharon Kieck on July 29, 1986; daughter, Tammy; sister, Joyce Phillips.

A funeral service for William Kieck will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at  11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 Harvard St., in Princeton.  Father Dale Grubba will conduct the service.  William will be laid to rest following the service, with full military honors,  at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Princeton.  Please visit www.wachholzandsons.com to send a condolence or to share a story or memory with William’s family.
