Alan G. Wicker Sr., age 84, of Princeton, WI, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, at ThedaCare in Berlin, WI. He was born on January 6, 1942, in Chicago, the son of George R. and Elizabeth Ann (Wanerus) Wicker.
Al married Marian Susan Schmitz on November 26, 1960, at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Chicago. He worked for the Chicago Fire Department for 12 years and then began a career as co-owner of Tri Star Engineering in Elk Grove, IL for 25 years. Al enjoyed camping, wood working, boating, traveling and was a car enthusiast.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Marian Wicker of Princeton; 3 children, Cynthia, Alan (Zola) Wicker Jr. of Sleepy Hollow, IL, Sheryl (partner John Besaw) Quinney of Rockford, IL; 6 grandchildren, Luke, Holly (Nico) Clesceri; Benjamin Wicker; Nicole Quinney, Matthew Quinney, Vincent Quinney; 2 great grandchildren, Luciano, Franco; other relatives and friends. Al was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elizabeth Wicker.
A Celebration of Life for Alan G. Wicker Sr., will take place on Friday, May 29, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m., at the Terrace Shores Evangelical Free Church, W3278 Highway K Markesan, WI. Rev. Kyle Witek will preside. Al will be laid to rest at the Windridge Memorial Park and Nature Sanctuary in Cary, IL, at a later date.
