Arnold R. “Arnie” Schwark, age 86, of Princeton, WI, went to his eternal home on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. He was born March 17, 1939, at home on the family farm in rural Princeton, WI, to Alfred and Dorothy (Arndt) Schwark.
Arnie was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Princeton, where he was a lifelong member. He attended Princeton schools and served in the Army National Guard. Arnie married Barbara Leuthold on February 13, 1965, in Milwaukee, WI, and they remained married for 25 years, until Barbara’s death in 1990.
Over the years, Arnie was employed by Mashuda Highway Construction, Prachel Builders, Severson Builders, and he was self employed as Schwark General Carpentry until his retirement. Arnie served on various committees at St. John’s Lutheran Church and assisted with small carpentry projects on church and school properties.
He is survived by his two sons: Brian (Joy) Schwark of Fond du Lac, WI, Richard Schwark of Wauwatosa, WI; four grandchildren: Margaret, Ariana, Eric (Kylene) and Nat; special friend, Sharon Hennessee; sister, Glenda (Arlon) Otto; sister-in-law, Candy (Jim) Dooley; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Dorothy Schwark; two sisters: Delores (Victor) Zimmerman, infant sister, Alice Schwark; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Deloris Leuthold.
A funeral service for Arnold R. “Arnie” Schwark will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 226 South Clinton Street in Princeton. Reverend John Stelter will preside. Burial at the Memory Hill Cemetery in Princeton will follow the service.
