Arthur “Sonny” Corbin, age 76, of Neshkoro, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. He was born on June 26, 1943, in Streator, IL, a son of Arthur and Ettabell (Steinberger) Corbin. Sonny proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965. On April 21, 1973, he married Penny Lohman at the Zion United Methodist Church in Neshkoro. Sonny had worked in quality control at the Berlin Foundry for 40 years until retiring in 2005.
Sonny loved trains and model trains. He enjoyed reading about firearms, trains and tractors. He also enjoyed farming, the outdoors, traveling, especially out West and to the Bad Lands and hunting when he was able. Sonny had a great love for his children and grandchildren and enjoyed Sunday get togethers.
Sonny is survived by his wife of 46 years, Penny Corbin; 4 children, Michelle (Derek) Sell of Omro, Julie (Scott) Blader of DeForest, Michael (Stephanie) Corbin of LaCrosse, Matthew (fianceé, Abby) Corbin of LaCrosse; 10 grandchildren, Allyson and Holly Sell; Eden, Erin, Everly, Elena, Elyssa and Jackson Blader; Christian and Bronson Corbin; sister, Margaret (Robert) Roggow of Fremont; nephew, Daniel Roggow; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ettabell Corbin.
In honoring Sonny’s wishes, a private service will be held at a later date.
