Berlyce Hebbe Obituary

Berlyce Hebbe, of Princeton, loving wife and mother of 4 children, passed away at the age of 83 on Sunday, August 30, 2020, at the Barrett House in Ripon.

 

Berlyce was born on January 27, 1937, in Menomonie, WI, the daughter of Alvin and Ruth (Fenske) Severson. Berlyce graduated from Princeton High School with the class of 1955 and was the class Valedictorian. On October 27, 1956, she married her high school sweetheart, James Hebbe. Together they raised their 4 children, Monica, James, Marcia, and Richard.

 

Berlyce worked outside the home for Handcraft, Swed’s Store, and Smuckers. She served as a volunteer at church and in the community and maintained a large garden. Berlyce was Co-General Leader of the Fox River 4-H Club and was also the Foods Leader, teaching many children how to bake. Berlyce was active in the Princeton Woman’s Club for many years. In retirement, Berlyce and Jim traveled out west including Alaska with their 5th wheel. They eventually purchased a second home in Arizona where they enjoyed the warm winters.

 

Those Berlyce leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband of 63 years, Jim Hebbe; 4 children, Monica (Duane) Schober, Jim (Valerie) Hebbe, Marcia (Fred) Born, and Richard (Leigh) Hebbe; 5 brothers, Bob (Lucille) Severson, Alvin (Pat) Severson, David (Helene) Severson, Roger (June) Severson, Dick (Sharron) Severson; sister-in-law,  Arlene Sauer. 8 grandchildren, Mike (Kat) Salbego, Tara (Bobby) Schmitz, Jenna (Josh) Hiland, John (Brittney) Fuller, Ashton Hebbe, Ivan Hebbe, Olivia Hebbe, and Guenther Hebbe; 11 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Ruth Severson; brother, Elwood Severson.
