Bernadine “Bernie” Lashock, age 88, of Princeton, passed away at her home surrounded by family on Thursday, October 12, 2023. She was born on March 2, 1935, in Marshfield, WI, the daughter of Eldon and Zella (Kautzer) Kaping.
On March 27, 1954, Bernie married Urban Lashock in Junction City, Kansas. They shared 62 years of marriage before Urbie’s passing on September 12, 2016. Bernie worked for many years at Fabriko in Green Lake as the lead person in the potholder department and eventually retired from the company.
Bernadine was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Princeton. The many hobbies she enjoyed were crafting, sewing, painting, cooking, baking, and trips to the casino. For Bernie, family was her life. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
Those Bernadine leaves behind to cherish her memory are her 3 daughters, Pam (Ken) Kaub of Montello, Brenda (Jon) Isberner of Princeton, Colleen (Steve) Carrow of Greenville; 5 grandchildren, Chad (Katie) Lashock; Steven (Tasha) Carrow, Tana Carrow, Jake (Jennie) Carrow; Kendra (special friend, Davey) Isberner; 9 great grandchildren, Blake and Kami; Brody and Addison; Jax; Kroy, Kal, Kolby, Kameron; 3 brothers, Eldon “Butch” Kaping, Russ (Joyce) Kaping, Fred (Sharon) Kaping; 2 sisters-in-law, Elaine Lashock, Gerry Lashock; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Zella Kaping; husband, Urban Lashock; son, Doug Lashock; sister-in-law, Linda Kaping; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Bernadine Lashock will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., in Princeton. Father Anthony Thirumalareddy will officiate. Bernadine will be laid to rest in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Princeton following the service.
