Bernice E. Fenner, age 94, of Wautoma, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Heartland House in Wautoma. She was born on February 19, 1931, in Wautoma, WI, a daughter of Louis and Ella (Draeger) Blader.
On May 15, 1954, Bernice married Robert Fenner at the Dakota Lutheran Church, the same church that as a child she was baptized and confirmed in. Bernice held various jobs throughout her working years. She had worked at Speed Queen, Montello Products, and waitressed at several restaurants in the area. At the age of 89, she left her job at Sherm’s Piggly Wiggly in Princeton and fully retired.
Throughout her life, Bernice was active in the church. She enjoyed polka music and had gone to several polka events. Her family was very important to her. She loved visiting and spending time with them.
Those Bernice leaves behind to cherish her memory include her son, Dennis (Lisa) Fenner and their children, Kevin (Kim) Davies, Derek (Jessica) Fenner, Tyler (Hailey) Fenner, Kayla (Nate) Winkler, Jenna Fenner; Bernice’s 8 great grandchildren; son, David Fenner; son, DuWayne Fenner (Myra Schink) and their children, Emma Fenner, Will Fenner (Kelsey Kannenberg), Paul Fenner (fiancée, Sarah Kangas); Bernice’s great grandchild; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Ella Blader; husband, Robert Fenner; infant son, Bryan Fenner.
A funeral service for Bernice Fenner will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Budsin, W3008 County Road E., Neshkoro. Rev. Wayne Schwanke will conduct the service. Bernice will be laid to rest following the service in St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery of Budsin.
