Bert G. Parker

Bertram “Bert” George Parker Jr., age 79, of Berlin, formerly of Neshkoro, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Patriot Place in Berlin. He was born on September 19, 1946, in Berlin, WI, a son of Bertram and Marjorie (Kopelka) Parker.

After graduating from Berlin High School in 1964, Bert served his country in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1967 during the Vietnam war in Da Nang Harbor. On January 9, 1971, he married Janet Olkiewicz. Bert worked at Oshkosh Truck for a year and a half and then for the Berlin Foundry, where he worked until his retirement, retiring as a general manager.

Those Bert leaves behind to cherish his memory are his 2 daughters, Dawn (Alan) Slowey, Pam (Kevin Koch) Parker; 2 grandchildren, Alex (Matilda) Slowey, Paige Severo; 2 great granddaughters, Ruth Slowey and Lucy Slowey; 3 brothers, Fred Parker, Tom (Betty) Parker, David (Linda) Parker; 2 sisters, Pat Augun and Nancy Thiel; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bertram and Marjorie Parker; his wife, Janet Parker; 2 sisters, Sally Parker, Doreen Skotarzak; sister-in-law, Joann Parker; 3 brothers-in-law, Kenneth Thiel, Louis Augun, Gerald Skotarzak; 3 nephews, Kenneth Thiel, Randy Parker, Todd Parker; niece, Kimberly Parker.

A graveside service with full military honors for Bertram Parker will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Neshkoro. Rev. Charles Schultz will preside.
