It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Beverly Jean Fischer, age 72, of Markesan, WI. Bev passed away on November 21, 2024, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah, WI, with family by her side. She was born on June 17, 1952, in Menominee, MI, the daughter of Francis and Isabel (Grinsteiner) Forray.
After graduating in 1970 from Stephenson High School in Michigan, Bev left the family farm and spent a number of years in the Chicago suburbs with her aunt Betty and cousin Gary. Bev later moved to Milwaukee, WI, to study accounting. Later on, she spent a number of years in Princeton, WI; where she met the love of her life, Larry Fischer. She and Larry then made their home in Markesan, WI.
In her younger years, Bev found a passion in making her own clothes and loved to go out dancing with friends. She found great joy in gardening, sewing and baking. Bev enjoyed socializing with others and was known to be the last one at the table, never missing a moment to socialize. Later in life she enjoyed traveling with her husband, Larry and found great pleasure as a snowbird living in Florida during the cold Wisconsin winters. While in Florida, Bev enjoyed playing Bunco with all the other local Bunco Babes. She was an undeniable Green Bay Packers fan and was known to have a pot of chili on the stove for Sunday Packer games. Bev’s grandchildren were her pride and joy; she was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
Those Bev leaves behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Larry Fischer; daughter, Denise (Ben) Holmgren; son, Daryl Netko; stepdaughter, Victoria Kennedy; 5 grandchildren, Nora Holmgren, Charlotte Holmgren; Cain (Olivia) Netko, Kylie Netko, Keenan Netko; her mother, Isabel Forray; 2 brothers, Andy (Linda) Forray, Roy (Ella) Forray; many other relatives and friends. Bev is preceded in death by her father, Francis Forray; stepson, Timothy Fischer; brother, Jerome Forray.
A Memorial Mass for Beverly Fischer will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., in Princeton Wisconsin. Father Dale Grubba will officiate. Beverly will be laid to rest in the Markesan Memorial Cemetery.
