Bonnie Ehle, age 79, of Princeton, passed away at her home on Monday, September 29, 2025. She was born on February 8, 1946, in Waukon, Iowa, a daughter of Cletus and Ella (Manning) Sweeney.
On September 30, 1988, Bonnie married John Ehle in LaSalle, IL. For many years, she was employed with the United States Postal Service and had worked her way up to being a Postmaster. Bonnie finished out her career as a Postmaster in Fond du Lac, WI. She was very proud of that accomplishment.
Bonnie enjoyed golfing as well as organizing and helping with golf tournaments. She also enjoyed running the local bags league and the game Got It at the local VFW Post 10452 in Princeton. She loved her time in Florida with family and friends. At home, she also loved to watch and feed the birds.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her son, Brian (Sandi) Jacobs of Clinton, WI; 6 grandchildren, Doug (Katheryn) Hesebeck, Kevin (Kendra) Hesebeck, Eric Jacobs, Brad (Sarah) Hesebeck, Jacob (Malloy) Laursen, Jenna (Sal) Sturdevant; 8 great grandchildren and two on the way; brother, Pat (Katie) Sweeney; 2 sisters, Nancy (Mark) Boesen, Jan (Mike) Etringer; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cletus and Ella Sweeney; husband, John Ehle; daughter, Janette; brothers, Cletus Jr., Gary and Terry Sweeney.
A visitation for Bonnie Ehle will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 Harvard St., in Princeton. Following the visitation, there will be a Celebration of Life for Bonnie beginning at 3:00 p.m., at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10452, 136 North Farmer St., in Princeton.
