Calistus “Jim” Holland, age 85, of the township of St. Marie, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton, WI. He was born on April 14, 1939, in Kenosha WI, a son of Calixtus and Nina (Whitbeck) Holland.
Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959. On September 15, 1962, he married Jeanette Zimmerman at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon, WI. He had worked as a yardman for Modern Pole Builders in Ripon, WI, and Stock Lumber in Princeton.
Jim’s many hobbies included woodworking, hunting, fishing, growing flowers, maintaining his lawn, and watching his sons and grandsons wrestle. He loved to eat sweets and enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Those Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 62 years, Janet Holland; daughter, Tracy (Andy) Dudzinski; 2 sons, Troy (Leann) Holland, Kurt (Becky) Holland; 6 grandchildren, Bradley Dudzinski, Daniel (Kelly) Dudzinski, Samuel Dudzinski, Sophia (Tyler) Brink; Taran Holland, Kendra Holland; 6 great grandchildren, Teddy, Eden, Henry, Zoey, James, Jaxon; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calixtus and Nina Holland; 3 brothers, 2 sisters.
A visitation for Calistus “Jim” Holland will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 Harvard St., in Princeton. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 226 S. Clinton St., in Princeton. Pastor John Stelter will officiate. Full military honors will follow the service at the church.
