Clifford O. W. “Rocky” Bentilla, age 79, of Neshkoro, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Juliette Manor in Berlin. Rocky was born on September 23, 1946, in Beaver Dam, WI, a son of Clifford and Mae (Mietzel) Bentilla.
Rocky married the love of his life, Donna McPherson on February 14, 2013, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Princeton. They really enjoyed their time together for 13 wonderful years.
Rocky loved life and lived a very full one. He spent time in the Marine Corps where he traveled to distant parts of the world. He was a devout Christian and a member of St John’s Lutheran Church in Princeton. His love of God was always the most important thing to him, not far behind was the love for his sons, Nathan and Stephen. Rocky enjoyed playing cards, going fishing, deer hunting, panning for gold and treasure hunting. He was a pretty good archeologist; finding many fossils, arrowheads, coins and even a mastodon skull. He loved vacations, casinos, and was willing to do just about anything.
Rocky really loved his family. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 13 years, Donna Bentilla; 2 sons, Nathan (Holly) Bentilla, Stephen (Jessica Sedarski) Bentilla; brother, Gary (Bobbi) Bentilla; sister, Sue Nelson; sister-in-law, Karen Boyd; 6 grandchildren, Kayla (Branden) Drews, Kyle Bentilla, Jenna Zodrow, Dylan Malueg, Kurt Malueg, James Wroblewski; great grandson, Arthur Drews; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Clifford and Mae Bentilla; sister, Nancy; brother-in-law, Orv Abraham.
A memorial service for Rocky Bentilla will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 226 S. Clinton St., in Princeton. Pastor Philip Schupmann will officiate. Full military honors will follow the service at the church.
