Denise Judith Wolter

Denise Judith Wolter, age 70, of Princeton, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Ripon Community Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on December 27, 1955, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Gordon and Dolores (Weidner) Laabs.  

On August 4, 1979, Denise married Ronald Wolter at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Princeton. Denise worked at Fleet Farm in Fond du Lac for 32 years. After retirement, she enjoyed helping out at Christ Alone Lutheran Academy in Princeton as the custodian and library assistant. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Princeton and had sung in the church choir. She enjoyed sewing and crafts, and loved spending time with her family.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 47 years, Ron Wolter of Princeton; 2 sons, Matthew (Joanna) Wolter of Rosendale, Lucas (Elizabeth) Wolter of Princeton; 3 grandchildren, Lillyana, Olivia and Zachary Wolter; brother, Paul (Kathryn) Laabs; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Dolores Laabs; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ervin and Esther Wolter; 2 brothers-in-law, Ken Wolter and Robert Wolter.  

A memorial service for Denise Judith Wolter will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 226 S. Clinton St., in Princeton. Pastor Philip Schupmann will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Memory Hill Cemetery in Princeton.
