Donald Blada, age 83, of Coloma, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at ThedaCare Medical Center in Berlin, WI. He was born on March 3, 1936, in the town of Buffalo in Marquette County, WI, a son of Walter and Elba (Owens) Blada. Donald proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during peacetime. He married Judith Kiefer in Montello, WI, on June 2, 1973. Don was a livestock farmer for many years and enjoyed his 8 tractors. Don also enjoyed hunting, gardening and sightseeing. He liked to socialize with people and enjoyed telling stories.
Donald is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judith Blada of Coloma; twin brother, Ronald (Evelyn) Blada of Montello; sister-in-law, June Blada of Neshkoro; his nieces and nephews, Mark, Allen, Greg, Gary, Cheryl, John, Jeanette, Doug, Karen, Mark W., Derrell, Walter, Andy, Jeff, JoAnn, Rick, Sherry; sisters-in-law, Nancy, Doris, Donna, Karen; brothers-in-law, Donald and Eugene; Godchild, Ann Kiefer; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Elba Blada; 4 brothers, Wesley, Stanley, Walter, Richard; 3 sisters, Marion, Arlowayne, Delores.
A gathering for family and friends of Donald Blada will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 Harvard St., in Princeton. Full military honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. directly following the gathering at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
