Donald L. Redmer, age 84, of Princeton, WI passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023, at SSM Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac, WI. He was born on December 19, 1938, in Elgin, IL, a son of Arthur and Evelyn (Gilson) Redmer.
Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army from January 31, 1962 to January 30, 1964. On February 19, 1966, he married Denova “Dee” Cairel in Dundee, IL. While living in Illinois, Don worked with his father as a general contractor. After moving to Princeton, he continued working as a general contractor, specializing in stone masonry.
Don took many trips to Alaska, Canada and out west, where he could indulge in his favorite hobbies, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed bowling and had bowled several 300 games over the years. He also enjoyed watching football and basketball games. When he was younger, he was President of the Road Ants Car Club in Illinois, helping stranded motorists and promoting safe driving.
Those Donald leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 56 years, Dee Redmer of Princeton; daughter, Lorraine (Loren) Jerabek of De Pere, WI; step daughter, Patricia (David) Cothren of Natchez, MS; 1 granddaughter; 1 grandson; 2 great grandchildren; special nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Evelyn Redmer; 3 sisters.
A Celebration of Life for Donald L. Redmer will be held on Sunday, February 19, from 2:00-5:00 p.m., at Mike and Cathy’s Good Old Days, W995 West North Shore Drive, Montello, WI.
