Dorothy Jane (Kiley) Bednarek, age 82, of Princeton, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, at ThedaCare Medical Center in Berlin. Dorothy was born on January 3, 1941, to John Kiley and Loretta (Claas) Hollenback in Green Bay, WI. She graduated from Princeton High School in 1960, the last class to graduate from the old triangle high school.
Dorothy married Clemens J. Bednarek on September 8, 1962, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton. She was a faithful member of the church and a member of the GFWC-WI Women’s Club of Princeton for 55 years. When she was younger, she enjoyed traveling and crocheting. But most of all, she loved to spend time with her family.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years, Clemens Bednarek; daughters, Susan Bednarek, Nancy (Paul) Zale, Christine (John) Seidling, Ruth Bednarek; son, Michael (Connie) Bednarek; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Jerome (Mary) Kiley, Neill (Fannie) Kiley; stepbrother, Steven Hollenback; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Kiley, and Loretta Hollenback; stepfather, Charles Hollenback; brother, John Kiley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stanish and Florence Bednarek; sisters-in-law, Roberta Kiley and Toni Hollenback.
A Memorial Mass for Dorothy Jane (Kiley) Bednarek will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, May 12, 2023, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., in Princeton. The Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 9:00 a.m. followed by the visitation until the time of the Mass. Father Dale Grubba will officiate the Mass.
