Doug Freeman, age 66, of Brandon, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at his home. He was born on February 4, 1959, in Pickett, WI, a son of Flavil and Ruth (Martin) Freeman.
Doug worked in the machine shop at Alliance in Ripon for 39 years. He enjoyed maintaining his property and gardening. He loved a good fish fry and good conversation. Doug also loved to tinker with cars, lawnmowers, and any other machine he could find. He took pride in being able to fix things and enjoyed the challenge it brought. Doug had a love for bluegrass music and always got excited about the different music festivals and concerts he would go to. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and dogs. They were his world and a great source of joy.
Those Doug leaves behind to cherish his memory include his girlfriend, Chris Beckrow of Waupun; his 5 children, Jessie (Alex) Pipp of Madison, WI, Luke (Anne) Freeman of Butte des Morts, WI, Brenda (Shannon) Lewis of Alturas, CA, Kelly (Dan) Finup of Baraboo, WI, Randi (Ernie) Schmidt of Princeton, WI; 9 grandchildren, Hazel and Freyja Freeman; Elias, Micah and Thea Pipp; Aidan and Alyssa Schmidt; Keaton Finup and Danica Bauer; brother, Rod (Peggy) Freeman; 3 sisters, Pat (Dave) Curran, Cathy Freeman, Tina Freeman; other relatives and friends.
