DuWayne Richard Standke, age 82, of Redgranite, formerly of Neshkoro, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Preston Place in Redgranite. He was born on March 31, 1943, in Wautoma, a son of Carl and Mabel (Mischka) Standke.
DuWayne proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam war as a hospital apprentice from 1962-1966. After returning home from the service he worked for Alliance Laundry Systems in Ripon for nearly 40 years. He was a member of the Krause-Gley Crane American Legion Post 423 and a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Neshkoro. DuWayne enjoyed fishing, hunting and boxing. He loved to run and received numerous trophies and awards for his accomplishments.
Those DuWayne leaves behind to cherish his memory include his daughter, Angela; brother, Dean (Donna) Standke of Fond du Lac; sister, Sandy Gohlke of Neshkoro; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mabel Standke; infant sister, Rhonda Standke; sisters, Jalane Hieland, Audrey Schrank, Marlene Tadman; brother, Dale Standke.
A memorial service for DuWayne Richard Standke will be held on Wednesday, September 17, at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, 227 North State St., in Neshkoro. Rev. Charles Schultz will officiate. Burial, with full military honors, will conclude the service in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Neshkoro.
