Elaine Ella Krause

Elaine Ella Krause, age 91, of Neshkoro, WI, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Silver Lake Manor in Wautoma. She was born on October 11, 1930, in Oshkosh, WI, a daughter of Otto and Ella (Nickolie) Reetz.

Elaine was a member of the last graduating class of Neshkoro High School, graduating in 1948. On July 16, 1949, she married Robert Krause at Zion Lutheran Church in Neshkoro. During her working years, she had worked for the Whiting Hotel in Berlin, the Neshkoro Manufacturing Company, Handcraft Company in Princeton, and for over 25 years had been the secretary at the Neshkoro Grade School.  

Elaine was a life-long member of Zion Lutheran Church of Neshkoro where she taught Sunday School for over 33 years and was a member of the Alter Guild for over 60 years. She loved to travel with her husband in earlier years when they were able. She also loved gardening, flowers, keeping her home clean, and loved her independence.

Those Elaine leaves behind to cherish her memory include her 2 children, Terry (Susan) Krause of New Berlin, WI, Lori Janczak of Milwaukee, WI; 2 grandchildren, Christopher (Dawn) Krause of Jackson, WI, Jonathan (Michelle) Krause of Waukesha, WI; 4 great grandchildren, Eric, Abby; Graham and Calvin; brother, Vern Reetz; sister, Doris Marshall; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Ella Reetz; her husband, Robert Krause on May 21, 1999; brother, Gilbert Reetz; 3 sisters, Leona, Bernadyne and Gertrude.

A memorial service for Elaine Krause will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the Zion Lutheran Church, 227 North State St., in Neshkoro. Pastor John Bumgardner will officiate. Elaine will be laid to rest following the service in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, a memorial has been established to Zion Lutheran Church of Neshkoro.
