Elaine Kriegl

Elaine Kriegl, age 98, passed away on June 11, 2024, at Prairie Place in Ripon. She was born on Nov. 7, 1925, in Princeton, WI, a daughter of William and Nada (Berndt) Hahn. Elaine passed to heaven after a full life.

Elaine and her husband Gilbert lived in Milwaukee where they raised their three children. Elaine retired from General Motors. She took pride in her delicious cooking and baking, feeding all who came through her door.

Elaine is survived by her 3 children, Jill (Greg) Nightingale of Vancouver, WA, Greg Kriegl of Milwaukee, WI, and Todd (Kristen) Kriegl of Wauwatosa, WI. She is further survived by 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; her sister, Shirley Polus; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert; her parents, William and Nada Hahn; 3 brothers, Wilton Hahn, Robert Hahn, Richard Hahn; 2 sisters, Marion Hennes and Dorothy Stellmacher.

At Elaine’s request there will be a private family gathering. Just remember her when enjoying your next delicious meal.

Elaine’s family would like to thank all the kind hospice nurses and caregivers who lovingly assisted her during her brief stay at Prairie Place. Also, a big thank you to Shirley Polus who took Elaine into her home and with whom Elaine enjoyed her final years.
