Florence E. Radtke

Florence Emily Radtke, age 101, of Princeton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 18, 2020, at the Barrett House in Markesan.  She was born on May 31, 1919, in the township of Brooklyn in Green Lake County, WI, the daughter of Adolph Arthur and Emma Bertha (Brown) Radtke.

Florence worked for the Handcraft Company in Princeton for many years cutting and knitting socks. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Princeton.  Florence enjoyed baking, cooking and loved dancing.  Florence collected matchbooks, postcards and anything relating to cardinals. She had a special place in her heart for all of her cats she had during her life. 

Those Florence leaves behind to cherish her memory include her brother, Eldon Radtke of Green Lake; 4 nieces, Sharon (Tom) Esslinger of Green Lake, Carol (Mike) Hecker of Germantown, Kathy (Brian) Ninneman of Green Lake, Kristin Radtke of Green Lake; other relatives and friends; special friend, Bertha Roehl of Ripon and her children, Brenda Roehl of Omro, Steve (Anita) Roehl of Princeton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Emma Radtke; sister-in-law, Marilyn Radtke.  

A private funeral service for Florence Radtke will be held on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the Calvary Lutheran Church, 202 South Farmer St., in Princeton with Pastor Robert Busse officiating.  Florence will be laid to rest following the service in the Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake.  A memorial has been established to Calvary Lutheran Church in Princeton.  Please visit our website www.wachholzandsons.com to send a condolence or to share a memory of Florence with her family.
