Glen Smith Jr.

Glen Smith Jr., age 81, of Germania, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at ThedaCare Medical Center in Berlin, WI. He was born on July 10, 1943, in Beloit, WI, a son of Glen and Marjorie (Muller) Smith.

Glen proudly served his country in the United States Navy. On August 17, 1968, he married Barbara Formiller at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Berlin, WI. They shared 54 years of married life before Barbara’s passing on January 8, 2023. Glen worked as a livestock buyer for Patrick Cudahy for many years.

Being an avid outdoorsman, Glen enjoyed deer and squirrel hunting. After he retired, he spent his time restoring old vehicles, especially trucks, he also built a cabin on the family hunting land and enjoyed woodworking.

Those Glen leaves behind to cherish his memory are his 2 sons, Joseph Smith of Germania, Brad (Jill) Smith of Randolph; 3 granddaughters, Ava, Stella, and Rubee Smith; 3 siblings, Carlene (Mike) Thrall of Janesville, Gordon (Cheri) Smith of Green Lake, Melodie (Denis) Pulvermacher of Princeton; other relatives and special friends and neighbors that have helped Glen and Barb throughout the years.
