Gordon De Bruin, age 93, of Princeton, WI, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2022, at ThedaCare Medical Center in Berlin, WI. He was born on April 7, 1928, in Milwaukee, WI, a son of Simon and Natalie (Breitweiser) De Bruin.
Gordon graduated college with a degree in Forestry. He worked within the Forestry profession until his retirement. After he retired, he worked for Green Lake Title in Green Lake, WI, for several years. Gordon was a devout Roman Catholic. He was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Princeton and a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus #3492. Gordon was an active member of the Princeton Historical Society. He enjoyed making 3-D puzzles and building ships in bottles.
Those Gordon leaves behind to cherish his memory include his 2 nieces, Patricia De Bruin of New Berlin, WI, Ilene De Bruin of Waukesha, WI; special friends, Holly Kasten and Russell Eedy of Princeton; Ray Salbego of Princeton; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Natalie De Bruin; brother, Donald (Arledene) De Bruin.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Gordon De Bruin will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., in Princeton. Father Dale Grubba will officiate. Gordon will be laid to rest on Monday, April 4, in the Holy Cross Cemetery, 7301 West Nash St., in Milwaukee following a brief visitation in the Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel from 11:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
