Harold Schwark

Harold Schwark, age 82, of Ripon, formerly of Princeton, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Prairie Place in Ripon.  He was born on the family farm in Princeton on February 27, 1936, the son of Ernest and Olga (Schultz) Schwark.  Harold proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1959.  On May 5, 1962, Harold married Karen Kohn at St. John's Lutheran Church in Princeton.  He worked for and retired from Speed Queen in Ripon after 36 years as an assembly line worker.  Harold also owned and operated Schwark's Shoe Service for over 30 years.  He was a faithful and active member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Princeton.  He gladly shared his time and talent over the years serving in the church as financial secretary, Sunday school superintendent and was a member of the Elders and Men's Club. 

Harold is survived by his wife of 56 years, Karen Schwark of Ripon; 3 children, Mark Schwark of Princeton, Michael (Marsha) Schwark of Elkhorn, WI, Maureen (Dale) Fugate of Paxico, KS; 5 grandchildren, Amanda Lainberger; Cassandra, Paige, Jacob and Madeline Schwark; sister, Dianne Schwark of Princeton; many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Olga Schwark; sister, Darlene Schwark.

A funeral service for Harold Schwark will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at 6:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m., at St. John's Lutheran Church, 226 S. Clinton St., in Princeton.  Pastor John Stelter will conduct the service.  Following the funeral service, Harold will be laid to rest in Memory Hill Cemetery in Princeton.  Memorials have been established to the following, St. John's Lutheran Church of Princeton, Winnebago Lutheran Academy, WELS Church Extension Fund.  Please visit our website www.wachholzandsons.com to send a condolence or to share a memory of Harold with his family.
