James “Jim” Dean Sondalle, age 91, of Berlin, formerly of Princeton, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Juliette Manor in Berlin. He was born on May 7, 1934, in Princeton, WI, a son of Alex and Regina (Bartol) Sondalle.
Jim was united in marriage to Mary Ann Belfeuil on September 25, 1954, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton. Jim was the owner of Sondalle Insurance Agency and managed Neshkoro Mutual Insurance Company. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Princeton and was a trustee of the church for many years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Catholic Order of Foresters, the Holy Name Society and a charter member of the Neshkoro Lions Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseshoes, and playing the tuba. Jim loved being with his family. He also loved listening and dancing to polka music, and socializing with his friends.
Those Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory are his 6 children, Debra Black, Randall (Connie) Sondalle, Daniel (Lisa) Sondalle, Sandra (Tim) Weinberger, Gregory (Cathy) Sondalle, Steven (Julie) Sondalle; 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Sondalle; 3 sisters-in-law, Jane Sondalle, Rose Meinert, Susan Belfeuil; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Sondalle; his parents, Alex and Regina Sondalle; infant son, Joseph John Sondalle; brother, Kenneth Sondalle; son-in-law, Andy Black.
A visitation for James Sondalle will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., in Princeton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Father Dale Grubba will officiate. James will be laid to rest following the Mass in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Princeton.
