Jerrel (Jerry) Kohls

Jerrel (Jerry) Kohls, age 85, of Princeton, passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Brown Wilcox in Berlin, WI.  He was born on October 17, 1934, in Mayville, WI, a son of Elmer E. and Alice (Schwan) Kohls.  Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1956 to 1959.  On June 2, 1962, Jerry married Mae A. Paradis in Milwaukee, WI.  They were married 56 years before Mae’s passing on June 7, 2018.  For 22 years, Jerry worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. 

Jerry was a member of the Badger Knife Club.  His hobbies included hunting, fishing and for 30 years, knife making.

Those Jerry leaves behind to cherish his memory include his children, Michael (Leann) Kohls of Berlin, WI, Steve (Leigh) Kohls of Oshkosh, WI, David Kohls of Berlin, WI; 2 grandchildren, Anna Kohls, Issac Kohls; many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer E. and Alice Kohls; his wife, Mae A. Paradis; 2 brothers, Wayne Kohls, John Kohls; sister-in-law, Marlene Kohls.

A funeral service for Jerrel (Jerry) Kohls will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 Harvard St., in Princeton. Father Dale Grubba will officiate.  Jerry will be laid to rest following the service at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Princeton.
