Joseph A. “Papa Joe” “Pep” Miller, age 78, of Princeton, WI, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his loving family and right where he wanted to be in his wife’s arms. Pep was born on March 27, 1945, in Chicago, IL, a son of James and Mildred (Voslar) Miller.
Joe married Sandra Jean Reyes on October 16, 1993, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Princeton. He owned and operated Joe’s Garage in Princeton for 30 years, where he specialized in automotive repair and sales. Papa Joe enjoyed working in his garage, traveling on motorcycles with his wife and friends, fishing, and camping. Joe may have lost his battle to cancer but not without giving a good fight. He never lost his ability to make his family laugh.
Those Joe leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Sandra Miller “my bride” of Princeton; 6 children, Rick Miller of Indiana, Mellany (Charlie) Nielsen of Channohon, IL, Matthew (Stephanie) Miller of WI Rapids, Michael (Michelle) Schneider of Green Bay, Jennifer Kikkert of Portage, Stephanie (J.P.) Bednarek of Princeton; 13 grandchildren, Damen, Derek, Nikki, T.J., Dylan, Madison, Jaden, Jaylen, Biyancha, Courtney, Matthew Jr., Alora, P.J.; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Jack (Joyce) Miller Sr. of Demotte, IN; 2 special friends, Shane Walker and Mike Yasick; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Miller; mother, Mildred Santoro; stepfather, John Santoro; brother, James Miller; son, Nathaniel Kikkert; father-in-law, Mike Reyes; mother-in-law, Geraldine Reyes.
A gathering for Joe Miller will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the G.G. Mueller VFW Post 10452, 136 N. Farmer St., in Princeton.
