Joseph H. Weiss, age 82, passed away at home in Montello, WI, on November 19, 2022. Joe was born on August 2, 1940, to Joseph J. (Seph) and Alma Weiss (nee Dischler).
Joe graduated from St. Luke’s Catholic High School in Plain, WI, in 1958. After graduation, Joe took over the family farm outside Plain. After he stopped farming, he ran a successful business in Madison. He eventually found his way to Branson, MO, where he spent many years of his life enjoying all the social activities and shows the area had to offer. He and his wife enjoyed traveling, with highlights including cruises through the Hawaiian Islands and the Panama Canal. He was also a life-long fan of the Packers and Braves/Brewers.
Joe is survived by his wife, Judy; 11 children, Jay (Tammy) Weiss, Jan Farmer, Steve (Kris Stauffacher) Weiss, Karen (Scot Becker) Weiss, Marcia (Kent) Rosenthal, Eric (Diane) Weiss, Jerry Burns, Ed (Melanie) Burns, Kelly Quamme, Wendy (Jerry) Coyle and Becky (Matt) Severson; 28 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Alma Weiss; his sister, Virginia; son-in-law, Tim Farmer; his granddaughter, Stephanie (Burns) Bullington.
A Memorial Mass for Joseph H. Weiss will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1240 Nachreiner Avenue in Plain, WI.
