Joyce Des Jardins, age 92, of Princeton, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, September 19, 2020. She was born on February 27, 1928, in Borup, MN, the daughter of William and Gladys (Botts) Gransee.
Joyce married James Allan Des Jardins on October 26, 1948. For 30 years, she was an active representative for the Avon, Watkins, and Rada Cutlery Companies. Joyce was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church of Princeton and for many years had been the church’s choir director and organist. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, music and doing puzzles. She loved gardening and her flowers.
Those Joyce leaves behind to cherish her memory include her daughter, Debbie (Jon) Staffeldt of Princeton; 2 grandchildren, Robin (fiancé, Dustin Nelson) Staffeldt of Neenah, Benjamin (Sara) Staffeldt of Neshkoro; 5 great grandchildren, Shane Nelson, Payton Nelson; Skylar, Jordan and Ivy Staffeldt; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Allan Des Jardins; son, Jack Allan Des Jardins; 2 brothers, Jack and Gary Gransee.
A memorial service for Joyce Des Jardins will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m., at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 102 W. Harvard St., in Princeton. Pastor Kyochul Shin along with Pastor Larry Rieck will conduct the service. Following the service, Joyce, along with her husband, James Allan and son, Jack Allan Des Jardins, will all be laid to rest in the Princeton City Cemetery.
