Karen Schwark, age 81, of Ripon, formerly of Princeton, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. She was born on November 22, 1940, in Fond du Lac, WI, a daughter of Otto and Frances (Feldt) Kohn.
Karen graduated from Markesan High School. On May 5, 1962, she married Harold Schwark at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Princeton. They shared 56 years of marriage before Harold’s passing on June 9, 2018.
Karen was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Princeton. She enjoyed baking, reading, traveling and being a Packer fan. Karen loved her family and friends.
Those Karen leaves behind to cherish her memory include her 3 children, Mark Schwark of Princeton, Michael (Marsha) Schwark of Elkhorn, WI, Maureen (Dale) Fugate of Alma, KS; 5 grandchildren, Amanda Lainberger; Cassandra Schwark, Paige (Tyler) Goplin, Jacob and Madeline Schwark; sister-in-law, Dianne Schwark of Princeton; many other relatives and friends.
A funeral service for Karen Schwark will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 226 S. Clinton St., in Princeton. Pastor John Stelter will officiate. Karen will be laid to rest following the service in the Memory Hill Cemetery in Princeton.
