Lois C. Warnke

Lois C. Warnke, age 91, of Princeton passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Martha’s in Princeton. She was born on December 23, 1934, in Oconomowoc, WI, a daughter of Fred and Esther (Krubsack) Grunewald.

On June 12, 1955, Lois married John Franklyn Warnke in Oconomowoc. In 1962, Lois and Frank moved their family to Princeton. For the next 25 years, they owned and operated JF Warnke and Sons Building Center. Lois was a veracious reader. She enjoyed doing word search and crossword puzzles, riding in the car, having visitors and visiting with friends and family on the phone. 

Those Lois leaves behind to cherish her memory are her 5 children, Pam (Bill) Schmidt of Princeton, Denise (Dan) Graetz of Princeton, Tim (Sue) Warnke of South Carolina, Beth (Dan) Dean of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jon (Karla) Warnke of Wausau; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Esther Grunewald; her husband, John F. Warnke in 2007; 3 brothers, David, Carl, and Phil; 2 sisters, Renata and Martha.

A memorial service for Lois C. Warnke will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., with visitation starting at 10:30 a.m., at the Calvary Lutheran Church, 202 South Farmer St., in Princeton. Rev. Charles Schultz will preside. She will be laid to rest at the Memory Hill Cemetery in Princeton at a later date.
