Lorna Lee Otto, age 84, of Markesan, formerly of Green Lake, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018, at the Markesan Resident Home in Markesan. She was born on May 20, 1934, on the family farm on County Road T, in Green Lake, a daughter of Avolt Gustav and Olga Anna (Breitenfeldt) Rossow.
Lorna worked as a waitress at the Little Corporal Restaurant in Green Lake for 34 years. She enjoyed playing cards, knitting hats, mittens and slippers, reading mystery novels, walking and spending time outdoors, including rides on Harley motorcycles. Lorna was a loving mother and grandmother who lived for her children and grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with them.
Lorna leaves behind her beloved family including her children, Cindy Gozinski of Berlin, WI, Linda (Jim) Hourigan of Raleigh, NC, Shelley Schwandt of Green Lake, WI, John (Sheryl) Otto of Hoffman Estates, IL, Dave (Melissa) Otto of Plainfield, IL; 7 grandchildren, Cliff Riek; Joe (Jenn Otto) Gozinski; Zac (Emily Flores, fiancee') Schwandt; Brittany Otto, Nathan Otto; Kate Otto, Caroline Otto; sister, Alice Fernandez of Phoenix, AZ, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Avolt Gustav and Olga Anna Rossow; and 3 sisters, Wilma Loomiller, Ruth Mohr, Ardis Graham.
A Celebration of Life for Lorna Lee Otto will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the memorial service at 3:00 p.m., at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 Harvard St., in Princeton. Rev. John Ambelang will officiate. Lorna will be laid to rest in the Memory Hill Cemetery.
