Marie Gates Obituary

Marie I. Gates, age 77, of Princeton, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving husband and two daughters on Wednesday, August 21, 2019. She was born on January 25, 1942, in Ripon, WI, a daughter of Alfred F. and Marcia J. (Hanley) Keipe. On May 6, 1978, Marie married Michael K. Gates in Green Lake, WI. She enjoyed basket weaving, bird watching and feeding the birds.

Marie was the wife of a great husband, Michael K. Gates of Princeton. She was blessed with two wonderful daughters, Michelle (Derek Roehl) Gates of Princeton, Danielle (Larry) Hoover of Harrisburg, PA. Marie loved her three fantastic grandchildren, Madisyn Mae Gates-Roehl, Lincoln Alfred Roehl and Arthor Michael Saul Hoover. She is further survived by her two rescue dogs, Zsa Zsa and Harley; many other relatives and friends. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Marcia Keipe; two sisters, Ashtoreth Keipe, PhD and Patricia Ebert.

A private family graveside service will be held.
