Mark L. Murphy, age 62, of Pardeeville, WI, passed away at his home on Saturday, October 22, 2022, with his family by his side. He was born on October 24, 1959, in Ripon, WI, a son of Arthur and Elizabeth (Rozek) Murphy.
Mark grew up in Princeton, WI and was a 1977 graduate of Princeton High School. On November 4, 1978, he married Lori A. McFarlin at the Buffalo Community Church of Montello. Mark worked for Badger Mining in Fairwater for 19 years and then for Fabick in Madison for 21 years.
Mark was an extremely hardworking man who always put his family first. His fierce loyalty to his wife and lifetime partner, Lori A. Murphy, included 44 years of marriage, happiness and memories. Through guidance and experience he passed on his love of nature and stillness to his 3 daughters.
Those Mark leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Lori Murphy of Pardeeville; 3 daughters, Nichole Murphy of Ripon, Emily (Shane) Standifer of Stevens Point, Elizabeth (Josh) Cuevas of Verona; proud papa to 6 grandchildren, Kasandra Murphy-McDowell; Alyssa, Brett and Kali Standifer; Lily and Justin Cuevas; 8 siblings, Kay (Wayne) Anderson of NV, Carol (Larry) Murphy-Warren of UT, John (Ellen) Murphy of WI, Mary (Brian) Edwards of WI, Joan (John) O’Connor of CA, Jean Murphy of CA, Betty (Tom) Bradley of WI, Richard Murphy of WI; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Elizabeth Murphy; 4 brothers, Paul Murphy, Mike Murphy, William Hatcher and Donald Hatcher; sister, Barbara Murphy.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mark L. Murphy will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., in Princeton. Father Dale Grubba will officiate. Burial will follow the service in the Black Creek Cemetery in the township of St. Marie. In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to the family. They will collect the funds and sponsor a trip for a child with severe or terminal illness into the outdoors through a non- profit organization: Take ‘Em Outdoors.
