Marvin E. Steinke, age 90, of Princeton, formerly of Neshkoro, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018, at his home at Martha's Inc. of Princeton. He was born on May 28, 1928, the youngest son of Edward and Ida (Sauer) Steinke in the township of Marion, Waushara County. Marvin attended the former Bannerman Grade School and the Neshkoro High School, graduating in 1947. Marv was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church of Neshkoro, where he was baptized and confirmed by the late Rev. Martin Huebner. Marvin was employed most of his life as a factory worker retiring in 1993, from Jaxco Inc. of Rio, WI. Marv was well known in the area as a talented musician. He played the piano and organ.
Marvin is survived by a niece, Joan (Donald) Otto of Sheboygan Falls; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ida Steinke; brother, Arthur; sisters, Irene and Elnora.
A funeral service for Marvin E. Steinke will take place on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m., at the Zion Lutheran Church, 227 North State St., in Neshkoro. Pastor Franklin Giebel will officiate. Marv will be laid to rest in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Neshkoro.
