Obituary

Michael James “Mike” Zentner, age 62, of Princeton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, May 28, 2022. He was born on August 20, 1959, in Oshkosh, WI, a son of Howard and Mary Ann (Stadtmueller) Zentner.

Mike grew up in Oshkosh and was a 1977 graduate of Oshkosh West High School. On July 24, 1993, he married Carolyn Marshall at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton. Mike worked for various trucking companies throughout the years. For the past 14 years, he worked for the Old Dominion Freight Line Company as a semi-truck driver. Mike enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his grandchildren.

Those Mike leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 28 years, Carolyn Zentner of Princeton; 2 daughters, Michelle (Thomas) Nava of Chicago, IL, Elizabeth (fiancé, Brandon Shultis) Zentner of Princeton; 2 grandchildren, Danica and Easton; 4 siblings, Jerome (Patricia) Zentner of Manitowoc, Kathleen (Dennis) Scherer of Manitowoc, Lawrence (Jo Ann) Zentner of Altoona, Timothy (Brenda) Zentner of Oshkosh; mother-in-law, Mary Marshall of Oshkosh; brother-in-law, Robert (Stephanie) Marshall of Oshkosh; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Mary Ann Zentner; brother, Thomas Zentner; father-in-law, Donald Marshall; brother-in-law, William Marshall; sister-in-law, Susan Bourdo.

A visitation for Michael James Zentner will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., in Princeton on Friday, June 3, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 4, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Father Dale Grubba will officiate. Mike will be laid to rest at a later date in the Weiser Cemetery in the township of Princeton.
