Patricia Hanrahan

Patricia (Pat) Jane Hanrahan, age 84, of Fond du Lac, WI, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the Markesan Resident Home in Markesan, WI. She was born on July 14, 1942, in Fond du Lac, WI, a daughter of John and Harriet (Hoffman) Malson.

Pat devoted many years to the Department of Corrections, between Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution and Taycheedah Correctional Institution, where she worked as a Captain. She will be remembered for her wittiness, her chocolate chip cookies and Snickers salad, spoiling her grandchildren, and for her love of books. 

Those Pat leaves behind to cherish her memory are her son, John (Rita) Hanrahan; 2 sisters, Joan Matthews and Ginny Mattison; 2 brothers, John and Jim Malson; daughter-in-law, Sharon Hanrahan; 6 grandchildren, Daniel (Heidi) Skrenes, David Skrenes, Jessica Hanrahan, Delaney (Boston) Goodenough, Josie (Seth) Borgrud, Kylie (Ben Dulmes) Hanrahan; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Harriet Malson; son, David Hanrahan; daughter, Erin Mathers; brother, Milt Malson; grandson, Randy Mathers; son-in-law, Scott Mathers.

Pat’s family will be celebrating her life with a private gathering.
